Target’s Holiday Price Match: Use Honey Droplist to get lower price alerts

Holiday shopping feels a little strange this year. The pressure to buy now – so you don’t miss out later – is real. So, Target is making it easier on shoppers with their holiday price match policy. Starting October 10, 2021, if you purchase an item in store or online and the item goes on sale even more, or the price goes lower at Target, on or before Christmas Eve (December 24, 2021), you can request a price match and get some of your money back! (Scroll down for more information on how to request the price adjustment)

Let’s be honest, if you’re like me, you’re telling yourself “I can do this… I’m going to check the price every day and see if there’s a price drop on the items I purchased already so that I can stick it to the man and get some of my money back! I will win!” But, let’s also be honest, if you’re like me, you’re not going to follow up on that promise because you’re going to forget, just like you forget to take the chicken out of the freezer for dinner after telling yourself to do that when you wake up in the morning.

Thanks to technology and one of my favorite shopping apps, you can track prices and get alerts if the prices drop lower than what you paid!

Honey is a rewards app (they have a mobile and desktop browser extension, too), that helps you find the best deals online and also allows you to collect reward points toward cash back redemption into your PayPal account. Honey Droplist is my favorite part of their app. When you add an item to Droplist, Honey will let you know as soon as there’s a price drop at that store for that particular item. Droplist doesn’t just work at Target… it also works at select online retailers, like Amazon, Macy’s, Target, and Walmart.

When you install the browser extension, all you have to do is click the icon in your extension toolbar before you check out and you’ll get alerts for any available coupon codes, and you’ll have the option to add the items in you cart to your droplist. You can choose how long they should watch the item for and you can even set the percentage of the price drop that you would like to be notified at. You can also add the items to your Droplist manually on their website after you login to your account.

Honey is free to join and has saved its 17+ million members money and time while shopping online. It’s only of my favorite shopping and saving tools.
