Many of you know that in addition to being a Mom, Army wife, DIY'er, and Content Creator, I also work full-time as a Social Media Manager for FlexJobs.com. My career has always involved social media in one way or another and I want to start sharing some of my experience with my community. If you're having trouble thinking of some questions, this list will be a great place to get some inspiration.
What is engagement rate?
When your followers see your posts and do things like hitting the "like" button, leaving comments, or sharing your posts with others, it means they are engaging with your content. The more they interact with your posts, the higher your engagement rate becomes.
Having a high engagement rate on Facebook, Instagram, and other social networks is like having a big group of friends who are excited to see what you share. It means that your posts are interesting, and people enjoy interacting with them. You'll get more likes, comments, and shares, which means more people will see and engage with your content.
So, what's one way you can increase your engagement rate? Ask questions! Open-ended questions that are easy to answer and spark a conversation are a great tactic for boosting engagement on social media.
Engagement is a two-way street
It's important to note that the question isn't the only thing that matters. You should also respond to the answers that people post in the comments. Think of it as continuing the conversation. It adds value to your page, shows the commenters that you appreciate their answers, and engages more people to comment. That shows the algorithm that people like your content and want to see more of it and you give it right back to them.
